As per circular number HRMD CIRCULAR NO.581/2021 dated 14‐07‐2021 . It has been provided as under‐
"For the year 2021, the officers of the Bank shall be allowed medical aid @ 50% of the pre-revised basic pay as on
31.12.2020. Officers recruited during the year shall be allowed 50% of pre-revised basic pay (pro-rata) as on date of
joining the Bank.”
This provision is against sovereign promise of government of India made at the time of amalgamation of OBC and UBI
with us under which it was promised that post amalgamation serving employees will get best of 3 banks financial
benefits and there will be no loss to the employees. On account of this clause mentioned above employees of PNB,
OBC and UBI will suffer substantial financial loss for the year 2020‐21 and employees of OBC will suffer financial loss
2017‐18, 2018‐19 and 2019‐20 had OBC been not amalgamated with PNB they would have got medical aid that is
50% of revised basic for all the four years hence, we demand that medical aid must be linked with the revises basic
pay from 2017‐18 onwards.
For the year 2017‐18 pro‐ rata medical aid arrear is been given to employees of PNB and UBI which is against the
joint note and Bipartite which does not provide for pro‐ rata medical aid for financial year 2017‐18. Hence we
demand arrear of full year for financial year 2017‐18.
