Tata Nexon EV launched with dhansu range and next level features

Tata Nexon EV: With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles in India, Tata Motors remains at the forefront with its highly demanded Nexon EV.

Using the popular Nexon compact SUV as its base, the Nexon EV democratizes electric mobility with an intelligent mix of value for money, day-to-day utility and progressive technology.

The Tata Nexon EV now has two versions to itself–Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR)–which are meant for different kinds of users like the citydweller and the highway driver respectively, after this update.

The latest generation is better than ever – more cultured, packed with new technology and a very viable alternative to an equivalent petrol or diesel SUV.

Design: Aggressive, Futuristic and Young

The refreshed Nexon EV features the updated design language that Tata had introduced with the ICE-powered model.

It features distinctive split LED headlamps, a redesigned and closed-off grille for maximum aerodynamic efficiency and a coupe-inspired profile that nested in an overall modern, athletic appearance.

The EV model stands out with exclusive teal accents, special alloy wheels and a unique “EV” badge.

Premium internal and external detailing, including flush-type door handles and a connecting LED light bar in the new design tail lamp, also enhance the car’s premium appearance.

Inside: Tech-Savvy and Comfortable For the most part, the interior is comfortable and tech-forward.

Step inside, and you are met with a cabin that is light, airy and feels modern, with lots of gear.

Inside, there’s a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (on higher trims), a digital instrument cluster and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.

The Nexon EV also offers:

Wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay

Ventilated front seats

Voice-assisted sunroof

Air purifier

360-degree camera (in top variants)

Materials of both quality and tech features are better, and the cabin space is still good for a compact SUV.

There’s a little less boot space than the internal combustion model – though that’s not saying a lot – but you’d barely notice on a day to day basis.

Powertrain and Range Options

Tata sells two trims of the Nexon EV:

Nexon EV Medium Range (MR):

30.2 kWh battery

Claimed range: 325 km

Power: 129 PS

Nexon EV Long Range (LR):

40.5 kWh battery

Claimed range: 465 km

Power: 143 PS

While the real-world mileage will keep fluctuating, LR will easily cover 300–350 km per charge under mixed conditions and can be the ideal said plug-in for a weekend-long drive.

Both offer quick charging, with 10-80% charge achieved in just 56 minutes and it will take about 6-8 hours to charge via home AC charging using 7.2kW wall box depending on the battery capacity.

That electric motor provides instant torque, which makes driving around town fun and easy.

The acceleration is smooth and quiet, and you can customize performance by toggling through Eco, City and Sport driving modes.

It’s on the same platform that the ICE Nexon scored a 5-star safety rating so it’s confident on the road too.

Torque in the moment, and it’s a blast to drive
