Bajaj Chetak 2025 – New model launch for short height girls

Bajaj Chetak 2025: The Chetak is a nostalgic name for many Indians at the least. It was a once-popular family scooter in the 1980s and ’90s, which vanished from the roads for years — only to re-appear in an electric avatar.

The 2025 Chetak refines its EV predecessor’s winning formula with more modern tech, a longer range and a sleeker design, yet still manages to capture the retro appeal that made it a hit.

For riders who want a stylish and sustainable urban commuter, the Bajaj Chetak 2025 finds a balance of sophistication and being eco-friendly. But how does it stack up in the fast-growing electric scooter market of the present?

Retro Design That’s Head-Turner

From the moment you set eyes on it, the Chetak 2025 is quite the spectacle with its signature shaped body form, metal panels and flush finishes.

Chetak does not feel flimsy or shoddy like other plasticer plastic-bodies EVs in the market.

It’s appreciated design is a throw back to the old school with its Horseshoe shaped LED headlamp, thin turn indicators and seamless lines – updated for the modern age.

The 2025 edition features additional colours, a sportier design in the rear area and a redesigned tail lamp for a cleaner look. It still gets looks, parked or silently cruising the city.

Useful Features and Smooth Ride

The Bajaj Chetak is made for daily urban use, and it feels like it.

The broad and comfie seat offers incredible comfort for the rider and the pillion rider. The seating is upright to ride long distances and one has ample legspace spread over floorboards.

The ’25 version also got a new 5-inch color TFT display, it’s predecessor had the older LCD type. This board now features Bluetooth, navigation assistance and OTA updates. The feel of the switchgear is also now better to touch.

That practicality? Pretty good, with a healthy underseat storage compartment, a front glove box area with USB charging port, and a keyless start system.

But, there is no fast charging support on the base variant and that could disappoint some users.

Battery, Range and Performance

Beneath its frame, the 2025 Chetak is fueled by a 3.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, rated to IP67 standards, and a 3.8 kW electric motor that offers a maximum speed of 73 km/h and a healthy torque figure at low speeds.

It has two motor modes (Eco and Sport) to customize performance depending on how it’s being used.

Bajaj is quoting a claimed 113–127 km real-world range, depending on riding style.

And it takes the best part of 4 hours from a standard 5A socket, which is acceptable for overnight top-ups.

It’s not the fastest off the line, but the scooter can hit 30 mph quite smoothly and quietly, which makes it pleasant to ride through the city. The polished throttle feel and regen braking also aid ride efficiency.

The suspension takes care of the handling and braking.

The front suspension is single-sided, and there’s a monoshock at the back, giving you a plush and well-balanced ride.

The suspension does well over bad roads, speed breakers and sharp turns without any complaints.

For braking duties, it has a disc up front and drum at the back with CBS for added safety.

The 12 inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres offer nice grip on wet and dry roads.
